Mining and Minerals selected Roberts & Schaefer to design and
furnish conveyors for the upgrade of National Cement's Corporation
of California's facility in Lebec California.
Originally the project consisted of twelve (12) conveyors, six
(6) transfer stations, dust collection, a traveling linear stacker
and two (2) stationary magnets. Six (6) additional conveyors with
dust collection and an additional magnetic separator were added
later. An aggressive 24/7 construction schedule was maintained
to complete the installation of the conveyors and equipment on
time.
Roberts & Schaefer Company's primary responsibility for this
project was to provide design and procurement services as well
as providing field advisory services to Bechtel's materials management
field staff.
