U. S. Borax commissioned Roberts & Schaefer Company to perform
detailed design on a brownfield boron recovery unit in Boron,
California. The project included layout, civil / structural, mechanical,
and electrical design for this large-scale tailings reclaim and
separation process. To limit emissions R&S' passive dust hood
design was used for the front-end loader reclaim hopper. The project
was very successful in meeting the objectives of US Borax.
