Petrolera Ameriven
Hamaca Crude Facility
Jose, Venezuela
In 2001, Roberts & Schaefer Company was awarded a contract
from Fluor Daniel/Inelectra for the design and supply of new sulfur
and coke storage and truck loading systems for Petrolera Ameriven's
Hamaca Crude Facility in Jose, Venezuela.
The sulfur storage system consisted of a new 31TPH pocket type-high
angle conveyor fed from an existing conveyor system to transport
the sulfur pastilles to two (2) 300-ton storage bins. The sulfur
pastilles are then loaded from the bins into trucks. The coke
system consisted of a new front-end loader fed feeder breaker
and 350TPH conveyor to four (4) 175-ton storage bins. The coke
is then loaded from the bins into trucks. Ancillary systems included
dust collection, PLC control systems, and belt scales.
