the Siam Cement Company's 5500 mt/d (metric tonnes per day) cement
plant, Roberts & Schaefer Company performed all structural
and mechanical design of product and cleanup (drag) conveyors,
transfer chutes and dedusting systems.
In addition, R&S provided purchase specifications for all
associated mechanical and electrical conveyor components. Conveyors
ranged from 800 mm to 2400 mm in width and from 140 mt/h to 1900
mt/h capacity.
R&S was also responsible for all material transfer chutes
for the conveyor system. Transfer chutes and conveyors were designed
to handle limestone, clay, laterite, raw meal, clinker, gypsum,
cement, and coal products. The project included 47 separate conveyors,
eight different width cleanup conveyors, 92 transfer chutes, and
675 dedusting systems.
