Dakota Star Near Pit Crushing & Conveying

Roberts & Schaefer provided engineering design services for
the Dakota Star Near Pit Crushing & Conveying project at Beulah,
North Dakota. For this project, R&S furnished a new truck
dump and crushing system, an overland conveyor, and a silo transfer
conveyor.
The truck dump included a new 500-ton truck dump hopper, a crusher,
feeder, dribble conveyor, and an overland conveyor transfer building.
Product (8 inch x 0) moves from the truck dump via a six and one
half mile overland conveyor, which discharges material into a
silo transfer building, and onto the silo transfer conveyor for
delivery to the storage silo.
