Robinson Run Mine, West Virginia
Roberts & Schaefer Company was awarded a turnkey contract
from Consolidation Coal Company for the three-section overland
conveyor expansion at their Robinson Run Mine in West Virginia.
Each conveyor has a belt width of 60 inches, belt speed of 750
feet per minute, and a capacity of 2,500 TPH of minus 10-inch
coal. The three belts have a total length of approximately 22,000
feet and convey the coal down hill. The conveyors are each equipped
with a disc brake at the drive and tail pulleys and belt turnovers
on the return belt.
