The direct consumption of petroleum coke as a fuel source is
only one of its many uses. Adding coke to coal as a sweetener,
or feeding it directly to Circulating Fluid Bed boilers increases
operating efficiency and performance.
A byproduct in the oil refining process, petroleum coke is also
used by the cement industry, the steel industry in the manufacture
of ferroalloys, and for the manufacture of carbon and graphite
products.
