Project Background
This dual linear loader was developed to load iron ore into bulk carriers ranging from 40,000 to 230,000 DWT. The loader is capable of loading at 10,000 TPH. The boom luffs and shuttles in and out, optimizing hatch loading and minimizing free fall of product. Soros was involved in the project from feasibility study, through selection of the type of loader, basic and final design and its fabrication and erection.
