Project Background
As sub consultant to the master planner for the Port of Greymouth, Soros investigated the suitability of barges and self-powered vessels to transport coal from this bar harbour to another deepwater port for overseas export in Panamax bulk carriers. Conceptual designs of the stockpile areas and material handling were prepared as well as cost estimates for plant and vessels.
