Project Background
Potential equity partners for the Qingdao Port Company required an assessment of the newly constructed facilities to estimate their value and future maintenance needs. The facilities comprised a 2.4km long wharf (of which half had been completed), container stacking yard, various administration and operations buildings, railway yard and storage sheds. Also involved were a number of items of plant including quay cranes, rubber tyred gantries and terminal trucks for container carriage.
