Soda ash is the refined product of trona, a naturally occurring
mineral. Among its uses, soda ash is a main chemical component
in producing glass, laundry detergents, baking soda and caustic
soda. One quarter of the world's annual production of soda ash
is mined and processed in Wyoming (USA).
Roberts & Schaefer Company's "Full Service" engineering, construction
and commissioning capabilities provide a valuable resource to
Soda Ash producers. We focus on the industries' continuing need
to reduce operating and production costs in order to maintain
profitability in a competitive market place. Our objective is
to offer solutions that may be innovative in Soda Ash production,
but proven technology among the many other mining sectors we have
served.
The following project examples illustrate some of our experience
with soda ash.
