Typically, run-of-quarry or primary crushed limestone is delivered
via truck or overland conveyor. It is then processed through secondary
crushing and screening, and then placed into surge storage ahead
of the plant.
Each handling and storage system requires a tailored process
design to meet the specific operation and site conditions. When
designing, construction and commissioning such custom facilities,
some of the issues we consider include:
- the complex material handling characteristics of each additive
and raw material
- precision blending and flow control
- contamination prevention
- air and water quality
- operation and service accessibility
- capital and operating cost restraints.
Roberts & Schaefer Company's crushing, screening, conveying,
and stacker / reclaimer experience assures design value. We offer
the following project descriptions as evidence our services.
